It’s not on You Tube anymore, but the fallout continues:

Six Mill Creek High students have been suspended for involvement in an on-campus fight that was captured with a cell phone camera and posted on YouTube.

About 10 students claiming to be members of a gang called “2-1″ beat up another student Tuesday on the Gwinnett campus, Principal Jim Markham said in a video message to parents on the school Web site.

The fight lasted for about five minutes, beginning in one area of the school and moving to the commons area before administrators and teachers could break it up, Markham said.

Another student recorded the fight on a cell phone camera and posted the video on YouTube, he said.

Gang violence is an increasing problem in Gwinnett. I hope we get a handle on this stuff before it’s too late.

Well, the video’s back up on You Tube, though I suspect it will be removed again shortly.

UPDATE: Having watched the video I think the gang aspect of this is way overblown. If those guys are part of a gang it’s a pretty wimpy gang. It’s seems more to me like a few kids getting into a fight. The principle was right to suspend the kids involved but these seem to me to be a bunch of low level punks.

I think You Tube should leave the video posted and in fact the principle might encourage people to watch it to show just how stupid these punks are.
